After completing his military tour of duty overseas, he began working for DOWD Medical in Buffalo, New York. He quickly moved from working in the warehouse to the service department, then repair technician, sales and finally service department manager. Later, after DOWD medical was bought by Associated Healthcare, evin worked as the director of operations for five years.e then went on to run the service department of Buffalo Wheelchairs rehab division before eventually opening ProMed in 2000. Since then he has been servicing, modifying and maintaining various mobility equipment for the VA hospital and all of our other customers.
Christopher Sweeney grew up working side by side with his father Kevin. Since he was young, Christopher found it fascinating to tinker with and test drive wheelchairs and scooters that were in for service. He moved on from just testing equipment to then cleaning and sterilizing equipment, then fixing small problems such as flat tires or replacement batteries to then making service calls on the road and addressing complex issues on his own. Christopher has been professionally servicing and repairing medical equipment since 2010 and moved onto his role as Vice President & Co-Owner in 2020.
